0 HPTP (Day 3, Week 3): Back-to-Back Pushups Workouts! Yowsa!


I decided to do Week 3's third pushups workout this afternoon.

I hadn't originally planned on doing them today, since my arms clearly needed a break from yesterday's brutal pushups workout. (In fact, the draft title of this post, which had already been postdated for tomorrow, was initially going to be called "Postponed Pushups Are Better Than No Pushups At All! " Clearly, I'd already had it in my mind to do them the following day!)

Anyhow, as I sit here typing this, I've obviously made it through unscathed, although my fingers are probably the only movable parts on my arms right about now. ;-)

Yes, that's two days of back to back pushups. So somebody, please give me a frickin' cookie. No, actually, please don't. I might very well eat it. ;-)

And, no, in case you're wondering, I've not gone completely mental. It's just yet another attempt to realign my pushups workouts & runs so they fall on the same day.

Speaking of which, it seems that I'm frequently/continually getting off schedule with my pushups. I think it's because I don't get up early enough to complete both workouts & still have enough time afterward to blog about them. ;-) But then again, that might mean having to get up just way too early, or simply doing them later in the evening -- er, that is, before I hit the couch. ;-)

Anyhow, enough talk about that. Today's pushups workout called for intervals of 30, 22, 22, 22, & a max of atleast 27 pushups (rest 120 s). Here's what I did: 30, 22, 22, 22, 30.

Nothing heroic, but atleast they're done. I won't go on about how sore my arms are. That's self-evident by this point. ;-)
